Top Universities in Baja for International Students

These have been vetted by Beyond the States to be the best universities in Baja for international students. They are guaranteed to offer English-taught programs without any foreign language requirements.

Why should I study here?

Baja (Frankenstadt in German) is a small town on the left bank of the Danube in the southern part of Bács-Kiskun County. It is the second largest city in the county. Its border extends to Transdanubia, contacts Tolna County, and includes a part of the Gemini Landscape Protection Area. It settled on the high bank at the confluence of the very fertile loess ridge of Bácskai and the wide floodplain of the Danube. The area was called the Treasure of Bačka because of the good quality lands in Bačka suitable for growing cereals.

As a result of the Treaty of Trianon, which ended the First World War, Hungary lost 2/3 of its territory, including most of Bácska, to Yugoslavia. Its natural environment, the Danube branch under the city, makes Baja extremely attractive. Its central square, the Holy Trinity Square, which is considered the St. Mark's Square in Hungary, is built on three sides, open on one, overlooks Sugovica, and the roads cross in the shape of a clover.
