Paderborn is a university city associated with modern technology and the seat of many IT companies. In addition to monuments of the past, such as numerous churches and palaces, there is the world's largest IT museum, the Heinz Nixdorf Museum Forum.
The history of the city dates back to the 8th century and the time of Charlemagne.
