E-sports is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. More and more private businesses, governments, and the public sector, both nationally and internationally, see the opportunities to utilize the potential that lies in skills developed through e-sports. The bachelor’s programme in academic e-sports will provide knowledge that makes you competitive in the future labour market. The bachelor’s programme introduces the world of academic e-sports and develop skills for a much broader field. This means that in addition to the activity of exercise, you learn about training, recovery and performance. You will also learn about the role of e-sports in society, technology related to e-sports, and how to use e-sports in education and in professional life.In the bachelor’s programme in academic e-sports you will learn about physiological and psychological conditions that form the basis for training and performance as an e-sports athlete. You will also learn how to develop and produce content for digital platforms for communication and marketing in e-sports. Furthermore, you get an introduction to finance, entrepreneurship and branding that is used for administration, organisation and development of tournaments and teams. Programming, cyber-security and the use of remote operated vehicles is also part of the programme, as well as game design and gaming history.
