Atlantic Technological University (ATU) is a multi-campus technological university in the west and northwest of Ireland. It was formed in April 2022 through the merger of Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT), Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT), and Sligo Institute of Technology (IT Sligo).
ATU is now one of the largest universities in Ireland, with over 18,000 students enrolled in a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in business, computing, engineering, creative arts, design, education, health, social sciences, and technology.
ATU has campuses in Galway, Mayo, Sligo, and Donegal. Each campus has its own unique character and strengths, and students have the opportunity to study at multiple campuses during their time at ATU.

Housing
It depends of location and campus. Sligo campus does not provide housing and accommodation but maintains a list of housing providers.  Housing can generally be found for 400 euros per month.In Galway-Mayo campus for accommodation there are 12 student villages around the campus within 12 minutes walking distance of each other. Single rooms can be found for around 400 euros per month.Letterkenny on-campus residence as well as off-campus housing is available. On-campus housing costs around 4300 euros per year for a single room.​
