Why should I study here?

UC3M was established by an Act of the Spanish Parliament on May 5, 1989, within the framework of the University Reform Act of 1983. From the outset, it was intended to be a relatively small, innovative, public university, providing teaching of the highest quality and focused primarily on research. Our first Chancellor was Professor Gregorio Peces-Barba.

What are the admissions criteria?

The application period for international students is from January 20th to May 30th. Students apply online and submit their diplomas (seniors may apply before this is official), 2 years of academic records, and a motivation letter. SAT and ACT scores are optional. All applicants must also submit a copy of their passport and applications from non-anglophone countries or high schools and must show proof of English proficiency.

What is student life like?

The UC3M has modern facilities for practicing sports that include a swimming pool, spa, paddle tennis courts, tennis, squash, bouldering, climbing wall, 7-a-side football and beach volleyball fields, indoor cycling and fitness rooms and multipurpose rooms for sports. practice of different activities. Practicing sports at the University is very easy and comfortable, since travel is avoided and also provides unquestionable health benefits and has even been shown to influence better academic performance.
