Why should I study here?

CBS was founded in 1993 as a pure business school and is characterised by a wide range of English-language study programmes. It was amongst the first universities in Germany to offer the internationally recognized Bachelor’s degree.

What are the admissions criteria?

Germany has changed their admissions requirements again, starting for the 2021-22 school year, and now accepts AP scores!  Students who want to apply to programs related to the humanities, social sciences, law, and economics need scores of 3+ in English. Math or natural science, which can be calc, bio, chem, or both Physics C tests, needs to be French, Spanish, Latin, or German. Addition scores in European History, American History, Computer Science, or Macro+Micro EconomicsStudents who want to apply for programs centered around Math, Science, and Technology need scores of 3+ in Math (specifically, Calc).

Natural Science (Bio, Chem, or both Physics C tests). Additional scores in European History, American History, Computer Science, or Macro-Micro Economics.

Alternately, students with an IB diploma, an associate's degree, and 2 years of college credits (including specified courses) are also admissible.

What is student life like?

The largest of the three CBS campuses is Campus Cologne. In addition to the approximately 350,000 students, the metropolis, with over a million inhabitants, accommodates another 99,000 students. The CBS Campus Mainz is also located on the Rhine, but further south in the Rhine-Main region. The old Roman city is the capital of Rhineland-Palatinate and is located directly on the border with Hesse. The newest of the three CBS campuses is located in Potsdam, Brandenburg. Not far from the German capital, Potsdam is best known for its film scene and the surrounding Brandenburg region.

Scholarships & Funding

Students are encouraged to apply without consideration of their ability to pay. The school offers loans and need-based scholarships. More information is in the financing section of their website.
