Student Life
Our Budapest campus has 3 buildings: the Main building, the Czuczor Street building, and the Salt House. They are close to each other and to the city center. In the main building of the Corvinus University of Budapest, which is also the location of the rector's offices and most of the university service offices as well. The new, high-tech Czuczor Street building (also known as the "C" building among students) was completed in 2007. The building also hosts the 450-seat central library of the university. The Sóház (Salt House) was built in the 1890s as an office building serving the Main Customs House. Nowadays, it is the beating technological heart of our university, as the IT center of our institution can be found here. The Corvinus University of Budapest has a Sports Center at Ménesi Street. It will be renovated this year. However, a GYM is available and students can join several sports clubs, like table tennis, judo, basketball, football, and volleyball. Our university has more than 50 student associations. Just a few of them: Association des Etats Généraux des Etudiants de l'Europe (AEGEE) , Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (AIESEC), Erasmus Student Network (ESN), International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE).
Housing
Availability in the student residences is quite limited so students are advised to look into an apartment rental. The school works with two agencies that help students find housing. Apartment rentals generally range from 350-450 euros per month.

Notes
This is a school I am really glad that I visited. Though their website is difficult to navigate, the school itself is quite impressive. Corvinus is made up of 3 different departments: Business, Economics, and Social Sciences. All three of the buildings are next to each other right along the Danube River in Pest. There is nothing like the view of Buda from this location—it is absolutely breathtaking. The main administrative building is a beautiful building that was built in the 1870s and served as the Customs House. It was reconstructed after WWII, at which point the school began using it. There is also a new building, built in 2007, which holds most of the classrooms. The business programs have 8,000 of the 11,000 students, but that does not affect the class size for the English-conducted programs. There are just 60 spots available for each of the business programs each year. Each course generally has one lecture and one seminar (with fewer than 25 students) each week. Also of note is that the Business School is in the final stages of AACSB accreditation and is also in the midst of the EQUIS accreditation process. Though Corvinus is a research university, all of the departments emphasize the importance of practical knowledge—something that is missing at many research universities. Internships are mandatory, and each department has its own Career Service to help students find internships and employment post-graduation.
