Why should I study here?

CY Cergy Paris University, in the Academy of Versailles, was created in January 2020. It was the result of a merger of several academic institutions: the University of Cergy-Pontoise, EISTI School of Engineering, Paris Seine University, and the close partnership of ESSEC Business School. The university has five graduate schools: CY Tech, a high school in science, engineering, economics, and management resulting from the merger with EISTI; the graduate school CY Arts and Humanities; the graduate school CY Education; the graduate school CY Law and Political Science; and the Graduate School in Management conducted by ESSEC Business School.Within these schools, students can gain bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and doctorate degrees in several areas of specialist study.

On campus, students will find a network of 10 libraries with collections, as well as computer stations and workspaces, laboratories and student accommodation. There’s also the House of Languages, which offers French language and culture courses for its international students. ASUCP is the university’s sports association, and there are plenty of sports clubs on offer. Students can enjoy badminton, athletics, basketball, fencing, and judo, among others. Students interested in arts and culture can take part in improv at the university’s performance hall, take part in theatre productions, and join in with festivals and events organised by the various student associations.

The university also has partnerships with other universities worldwide, offering students the chance to spend a year studying abroad. They also welcome students to their campus, and there are a number of courses in English.
