Why should I study here?

Dresden International University was established in April 2003. Currently, more than 2,900 students are registered in 38 courses of studies. About 33% of these students are foreigners from 30 nations. Intercultural competence of students and staff, language training, and international community life are different factors of DIUs' internationalization.

Since 2003, DIU has intensified its international activities in order to attract foreign students to study in Dresden. The “China Competence Team” (CCT), consisting of members of DIU and TUDIAS, has been touring to China on several occasions. The aims of these business trips are the establishment of a cooperation network as well as the intensification of partnerships with institutions such as in Tianjin, Wuhan, Guilin, Chengdu, Chongqing, Nanchang, and Xi'an. Furthermore, DIU offers specially designed courses for students from African countries, Russia, and Poland.
