Why should I study here?

Founded as the national training body for surgery in Ireland, RCSI has been at the forefront of healthcare education since its establishment in 1784.Today, we are an innovative, world-leading international health sciences university and research institution offering education and training at undergraduate, Postgraduate and Professional level.

What are the admissions criteria?

Students with an IB diploma, one year of college credits, or AP scores in biology, chemistry, and either physics or calculus can apply to the 5-year program. Without it, students can apply to the 6-year program. Students apply through the Atlantic Bridge program.

What is student life like?

At RCSI, history meets cutting-edge technology. Our state-of-the-art campus offers everything you will need to meet your academic, professional, and personal goals while studying at RCSI. Designed with top performance in mind, the RCSI campus—on St. Stephen's Green, York Street, and Beaumont Hospital—is packed with resources fine-tuned for your needs. Sport is central to student life at RCSI. In fact, not only do we have a new, state-of-the-art gym that is free for all of our students to use, but we are also immensely proud of our 30+ active sports clubs, many of which represent RCSI at intercollegiate competitions and regional and national tournaments. RCSI’s 35 clubs and sports teams are open to all students and regularly welcome new members, so whatever the sport and your competency level, there are plenty of opportunities to stay active.

One of the most important tasks facing prospective RCSI students is the search for suitable accommodation. Luckily, RCSI offers a number of services to assist students with finding the perfect home away from home. At RCSI, we welcome students from every corner of the world and aim to create a "home away from home" for all our residents.
