South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences (FH-SWF) is a public university of applied sciences located in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It was founded in 1971 and has over 13,000 students enrolled in over 100 study programs. The university has five campuses, located in the cities of Hagen, Iserlohn, Lüdenscheid, Meschede, and Soest.
FH-SWF is known for its strong focus on practical skills and its close ties to industry. Many of the university’s professors have experience working in industry, and students have the opportunity to gain practical experience through internships and cooperative education programs.
FH-SWF is also an internationally oriented university. The university has over 100 partner universities worldwide, and students have the opportunity to study abroad for one or two semesters. The university also offers a number of English-language programs for international students.
