Why should I study here?

The University of Applied Sciences Ingolstadt was founded in 1994. The future-oriented management is dedicated to their mission statement which sets the highest standards of research and instruction as their fundamental goals. The university campus was completed in 1999. An attractive building with modern facilities offers a comfortable environment which encourages success.

What are the admissions criteria?

Germany has changed their admissions requirements again, starting for the 2021-22 school year, and now accepts AP scores!  Students who want to apply to programs related to Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, and Economics need scores of 3+ in English. A foreign language that needs to be French, Spanish, Latin or German, Math or natural science which can be Calc, Bio, Chem, or both Physics C tests. In addition, I score in European History, American History, Computer Science, or Macro+Micro Economics. 

Students who want to apply for programs centered around Math, Science, and Technology need scores of 3+ in Math (specifically Calculus). Natural Science (Bio, Chem, or both Physics C tests). Language (French, Latin, German, Spanish, or English Lit or Lang/Comp). Addition score in European History, American History, Computer Science, or Macro+Micro Economics. 

Alternately, students with an IB diploma, an associate's degree, and 2 years of college credits (including specified courses) are also admissible

What is student life like?

Since it was founded on December 5th, 2001, the Students' Life e. V. many different events by students for students of the Technical University of Ingolstadt and thus actively contributes to a varied university life. This includes not only parties at the beginning and during the semester but also poker tournaments, skiing and many other events. The main focus is on conveying a “we-feeling” to the students at the university and thus strengthening cohesion.

Halls of ResidenceIt's not always easy for the international students to find suitable accomodation in Ingolstadt. The number of students appartements has increased considerably these past years (about 1600 rooms right now), still, it's highly recommended that you start looking for an appropriate room or shared appartement as early as possbile.Their international office will gladly help with any issues in tenancy law, registration or general orientation.Shared apartments or apartments / rooms to letAnother cheap alternative is to set up a shared apartment or to rent a room in one.The latest advertisements can be found in the Wednesday and Saturday editions of regionalnewspapers (e.g. Donaukurier).

** The admission for the Bachelor Programme International Retail Management expired at winter term 2016/17. Up to 2017 this study programme is closed. An application for the first semester is not possible anymore.
