The University of Agder (UiA) is a public university located in Kristiansand and Grimstad, Norway. It was established in 1994 as a merger of six regional colleges, and became a full university in 2007. UiA has a total enrollment of over 13,000 students and offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering.

Student Life
The students' gym Spicheren has excellent facilities, including a climbing wall and a swimming pool, and many outdoor options.The Student Organization in Agder (STA) is the official representative body for students at the University of Agder. The overarching goals of the organization is to work for the professional, social, economic and welfare interests of the students at UiA. STA organizes around 13,000 students and is the umbrella organization for a variety of student activities. STA is the voice of our students on campus, in the local arena and nationally.

International students are guaranteed housing by the university. Prices range from 333 to 860 euros per month.
