Why should I study here?

The University of Agriculture in Krakow (UAK) is one of the leading universities in the area of life sciences in Poland.It derives from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, where agricultural and forestry sciences have developed since 1890.

In 2013, the University celebrated the 60th Anniversary of its existence as an independent higher education institution. The University of Agriculture today: 7 faculties, 2 inter-faculty units, and 1 inter-university unit, over 12 000 students,c.a.1400 employees (including 758 academic staff), 23 mainfields, 51 specializations, and 31 post-graduate programs (for Master degree holders). Each year, over 3000 students are enrolled for various programmes at the University of Agriculture. The University provides professional education for specialists in the areas of agricultural, forestry and life sciences, veterinary medicine, in the field of economics, technical and sociological sciences. 

Due to the high quality education, it provides, the University is known and valued in Poland and abroad. It focuses on the quality, mobility and innovative solutions. The graduates find employment in best enterprises in the country and abroad.

What are the admissions criteria?

Applicants must get their diplomas and transcripts legalized. For US students this means getting an apostille stamp from the Secretary of State's office. The application deadline is September 25th.

Rooms in the student residences range from 80–110 euros per month. Apartments in town can be found for somewhere between 150-300 euros per month.
