Why should I study here?

University of Bologna is the oldest university in the world.

What are the admissions criteria?

The national admissions requirements for American students are an IB or 3 AP score of 3+. The scores should be relevant to the programs, such as math, economics, and history. American students must also submit their SAT scores. The admission decisions for the bachelor's programs are made solely based on SAT scores. For more information about applying to schools in Europe, visit the country page. If you are a non-EU citizen living outside Italy, you must pre-enroll at the Italian Embassy or Consulate in your country.

Scholarships & Funding

Information on grants and exemptions is here.

Housing options.

Student Accommodation and Information Services can help find students locate housing which is generally under 400 euros for a single.  There are also student residences through “Camplus” which in addition to housing, offer a meal plan, arrange activities, tutors, cleaning services for the room, and more.  Because meals are included, this is more expensive at about 10,500 euros per year for a double.  Students interested in Camplus go through an application process that evaluates attitudes, motivation, and other things.

Dining information

There are several canteens, restuarants, and pizzarias on campus.
