Université de Lorraine is a major actor of its economic and social development, building on intercultural and intergenerational links, coordinating a regional research policy, and giving access to higher education to as many inhabitants as possible.Universite de Lorraine offers curricula in all fields of knowledge: sciences, health, technology, engineering sciences, human and social sciences, law, economy, management, arts, literature; and language. A specific focus is given to crossovers between fields and skills, to help students develop their own pathway.

What is student life like?

Some of the campuses are located in the heart of the city, close to train stations, amenities, and cultural sites. Others are located in wooded areas away from major roads. The Université de Lorraine also proposes a particularly rich cultural offer, open to all study fields. It owns and directly manages the Theater of Saulcy, Bernard-Marie Koltès space, labeled as a "scene theatre of Contemporary writings" on the campus of the Saulcy in Metz. This theatre provides professional and amateur live entertainment and allows students to organize artistic and cultural projects. The university also performs events in the amphitheater Déléage on the Humanities campus in Nancy.
