Why should I study here?

Warsaw University of Technology builds upon the traditions of Polish technical universities that used to function in Warsaw – the Polytechnic Institute founded in 1826 thanks to the efforts of Stanisław Staszic and the School of Hipolit Wawelberg and Stanisław Rotwand established in 1895.

What are the admissions criteria?

The application deadline is July 16th. The entire admissions process occurs online, and the first steps include sending in your diploma, passport copy, and application fee.  Candidates do not need to get their diploma legalized until they receive the conditional offer.  This is also when English proficiency scores are submitted and an online placement test is completed. Note that the placement test is used after applicants have been conditionally accepted and is not used for an admission decision but for placement purposes.

What is student life like?

Students who are obliged to take sports classes can choose from a variety of activities and use sports facilities located close to the dormitories. They include sport courts, swimming pools, sports halls for team games, gyms etc. The WUT Students Union contributes to a significant extent to the internationalization and international cooperation at WUT.The main role in this activity is played by a special team who is in charge of international affairs - International Matters Committee of Students Union. The Committee represents Polish and foreign students before the University authorities and is responsible for expenditures on international cooperation of students organizations. They collect and share information on international scholarships, internships and educational programs for students. International Affairs Committee is a link between the University (represented by authorities and Centre for International Cooperation) and all students.

Additional notes.

Though I did not have any meetings here, I did walk around the main campus as it is in a Warsaw neighborhood I really liked.  I had hoped to find the main edifice which was, like most things in Warsaw, destroyed during the war and rebuilt.  It is supposed to be beautiful and Hogwarts-like.

Sadly, I could not find the building. The campus was fairly deserted since it was the period for exams, and honestly, I was really hungry and wanted to find lunch at this point!
