South East Technological University Waterford
Description
South East Technological University (SETU) is a public technological university located in the South East region of Ireland. It was formed from the amalgamation of two existing institutes of technology in the region – Waterford IT and IT Carlow. Following years of discussions and planning, its formation was announced in November 2021 and was formally established on 1 May 2022. It is the only university in the South East of Ireland.
Student Life
There are 80 different clubs and societies—everything from mountain biking to cheerleading to environmental clubs to photography clubs to a tea appreciation club!
Housing
There are 7 different residences, all of which have apartment-style single rooms, most have their own bathroom. The average price is 4625-6185 euros per year, with some residences reserved for first years students.

Scholarship & Funding
Some programs offer merit-based scholarships based on GPA (1,500-2000 euros). Additionally, there are three 5,000 euro scholarships awarded each year for 5,000 euros to American students who are either studying science engineering, in Boston or in general.
