Description
The National University of Ireland, Maynooth, commonly known as Maynooth University, is a constituent university of the National University of Ireland in Maynooth, County Kildare, Ireland. Established as an autonomous university in 1997, Maynooth University celebrates its 20th birthday on 16 June 2017. However, it traces its origins back to the foundation of the Royal College of St. Patrick in 1795, drawing inspiration from over 200 years of education and scholarship.
Maynooth’s unique collegial culture fosters an interdisciplinary approach to research, which its world-class academics use to tackle some of the most fundamental challenges facing society today. The university’s research institutes and centers consolidate and deliver this impact through vibrant communities of learning, discovery, and creation. International students are provided with housing for the first year. Singles in nearby student residences generally range from 800-950 euros per month.

Scholarship & Funding
There are a variety of scholarships for international students. The majority are for master's degree students, ranging from 2000 euros to 50% of tuition fees. Bachelor's applicants are automatically assessed for a 2000 euro merit-based scholarship when they apply.
