Tallinn University
Description
The school says: Tallinn University was established by a decision of the parliament of Estonia on March 18, 2005, when several Tallinn educational and research institutions were consolidated into a single institution. A modern university with a common identity was formed by that merger. Tallinn University has a strong position in the Estonian higher education scene. It offers teacher education with the longest history and traditions in Estonia and, at the same time, has modern and most international film and media schools in the Baltics. We value innovation and interdisciplinarity to offer internationally competitive higher education that is based on excellence. International and student-friendly, Tallinn University is well-known for its high academic standards in humanities and social sciences. Tallinn University is the third biggest public university in Estonia with more than 9000 students studying at bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. Tallinn University provides an opportunity to study in a multicultural environment. Approximately 900 international degree and exchange students participate in our degree and exchange study at Tallinn University. Every 10th lecturer is a foreigner. Active international cooperation and our bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs in English help to create the multicultural university community.
