I reached out to Beyond the States because I wanted to teach English abroad. I had experience teaching English, but I didn’t know how to turn that experience into a career outside the United States. Jaimee Deschamps at Beyond the States looked at my CV and education experience, and helped me see all I could do.
Jaimee not only found several postings I was qualified for, but she researched their application process, told me when the best time was to apply, advised me on writing Cover Letters, and even made introductions for me with representatives from the language schools! Beyond the States’ Best Fit List gave me a thorough introduction to each posting, telling me about each organization, what qualifications they were looking for, who I would be teaching, and what to expect from the hiring process. I was able to tailor my Cover Letter to each organization, and the introductions assured that my application was given priority.
I told my whole TEFL graduating class about the Teach Abroad Match program at Beyond the States. Jaimee guided me through each step of the application process and made sure my CV, Cover Letters and recommendations had the greatest impact. There are so many options to teach English abroad. Beyond the States helped me focus my goals and find the best fit for my new career in Europe and beyond.
