The Master Degree in “Advanced Automotive Electronic Engineering” fits within a collaboration between the four major Universities in Emilia-Romagna and the main Companies involved in the design and manufacturing of automobiles and motorbikes in the premium and racing sector: Automobili Lamborghini Spa, Dallara Automobili SpA, Ducati Motor Holding Spa, FCA Group – Maserati e Alfa Romeo, Ferrari Spa, Haas F1 Team, Magneti Marelli Spa, Scuderia Toro Rosso Spa.The aim of the Master is to educate electronic engineers with a solid knowledge of the methods and tools that make electronics the foundations of all the systems that collect, process, trasmit and store information, with a particular emphasis on the electronic subsystems that are embedded in the nowadays and future vehicles. The graduate in “Advanced Automotive Electronic Engineering” is able to understand, propose and adapt what is being developed in the flourishing field of Information and Communication Technologies, playing a fundamental role in the innovation of the automotive sector whose future evolution will increasingly depend on such technologies. The main features of the master are:• Teachers selected by a Interuniversity Coordination Committee open to the involved Companies among professors and practitioners, Italian and foreigners, with recognized experience in the field, in order to maximize teaching quality.• Students, maximum 30 for each year, admitted to the master after a careful evaluation of their previuous academic performance and motivation based on documents and interviews.• Teaching in two neighboring Universities: first year in Bologna, second year in Modena.• All classes delivered in English, many courses with a lab part to be taken at one of the involved Universities or at the facilities of the partner Companies on a “Learning-by-Doing” logic.• Internships for thesis or “Project Working” activities, taking place within the most important industrial realities in the automotive sector or in University labs.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor's degree with a high GPA with a major in Electronics, Electro-Magnetic fields, Telecommunications, Automatic control, Computer engineering, Electric measurements, Electrotechnics, Converters and electrical machines and actuators, Electrical systems for energy; and significant course work in Computer science, Algebra, Geometry, Mathematical analysis, Probability and statistics, Mathematical physics, Numerical analysis, Operation research, Inorganic chemistry, Chemical technologies, Experimental physics, Theoretical physics, Matter physics.
