This course will support you to learn the creative and technical skills you need to work in the animation and visual effects industry. This course mixes creative and critical thinking, and will develop your technical skill-set using industry-standard software.
What sets this course apart from others is how industry-facing it is. You will work as part of a team on a live project to a targeted brief set by a professional client, learn professional production animation and VFX pipelines, and receive feedback on your work from professionals. You will also develop a narrative-based film, showreel, or breakdown reel as part of your final submission.
We have great connections to the animation and VFXÂ industries, and many of our graduates have gone on to work around the world for top studios and franchises.

You will be supported by our academic and technical staff, as well as visiting speakers who have experience of working in the animation and / or VFX industry. You will also have access to facilities, including a dedicated studio space, PC Lab with current industry standard animation and VFX software, 4K edit suites.

Admissions Requirements
Bachelor Degree in in a relevant subject with 3.0 - 3.49 / 4.0. You may also apply if you are able to demonstrate appropriate professional experience.
You will need to submit a showreel of your work. This will need to be a maximum of 2 minutes in duration and uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo at 1920x1080 HD resolution. Alternatively you may upload a portfolio of up to 15 pages.
An interview with the Programme Director may be required as part of the decision-making process. You will be contacted to arrange an online interview at a mutually suitable time following submission of your portfolio.
