The programme focuses on the interface between chemistry, biology and medicine, with engineering as a common working tool. It provides students with competencies on how to use engineering principles in the analysis and manipulation of biological systems to solve problems across a spectrum of important applications.The programme thus covers the broad base of knowledge from genetics to process engineering provided by expertise from the Departments of Biology and Biology Engineering, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and Applied Physics, at Chalmers, and the units of Chemistry and Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, at the University of Gothenburg.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with a major in Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.The program has prerequisites in Mathematics, Chemistry and Biochemistry.Applicants from non-anglophone countries should provide proof of English proficiency.The application period for non EU students is from October 16 to January 15.
