As a student you will meet the industry both through site visits and lectures given by industry professionals. Our teachers are committed to your learning and are experts in geotechnical/mining/rock engineering, and operation and maintenance. The programme includes compulsory and optional courses, along with a M.Sc. thesis project performed in collaboration with the industry. This approach you to specialize in one of the following areas: – Production planning and automation – Rock mechanics and rock engineering – Soil Mechanics and damsSince mining and geotechnical engineering is essential in many fields, you have great freedom when choosing your future workplace, both in terms of task and geographic location. You can work as a project manager, consultant or researcher for contractors, government agencies, mining operations, universities, and more. The whole world can be your workplace!

Admissions Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree with a major in mining technology, constructions technology or nature resource technology. At least 22,5 credits in Mathematics at university level is required.Applicants from non-anglophone countries should provide proof of English proficiency.The application period for non EU students is from October 16 to January 15.
