Computers and software are an integral part of our daily lives. Interaction between people and computers takes different forms as computers are integrated into different systems from mobile devices to clouds.Software, Web & Cloud (M.Sc. Tech) provides a solid understanding in software engineering: the ability to design and implement large software systems, and the competence to manage and improve software development processes. Technologies and skills in networking and clouds belong to the core of the studies. A rich variety of other studies in a range of topics such as business, information security, user experience, big data and IoT are available at Tampere University. An exceptionally large number of IT companies in the Tampere region provide an inspiring environment and opportunities to apply your skills and address real-life challenges. The research activities and close collaboration with companies ensure that the contents of the degree programme are both on a high level academically and relevant to the industrial positions. After graduation, you can have a career as a versatile software professional or further your studies on the doctoral level. Software, Web & Cloud (M.Sc. Tech) track and Software, Web & Cloud (M.Sc.) track are two of the seven tracks in the Master’s degree programme in Computing Sciences, a new degree programme starting in August 2020. They have the same structure of studies, except that the Software, Web & Cloud (M.Sc. Tech) track requires basic studies in natural sciences (e.g. physics).Upon completion of the studies, you will have an in-depth understanding of software engineering and the ability to design and implement software systems. You will also have the knowledge and skills to manage and improve demanding and comprehensive software development processes and understand, design, and implement web and cloud-based systems.

Admissions Requirements
A bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Applicants from non-anglophone countries must provide proof of English proficiency (TOEFL 92 and IELTS 6.5).
