The programme begins with general courses that offer in-depth studies of the theoretical points of departure, historical conditions and role in society of conservation of cultural heritage, as well as assessment methods of relevance within the field. Students are then given an opportunity to design their own Master’s degree by combining different individual courses with other courses offered by the Department of Conservation. It may also be possible to choose elective courses provided by other departments and institutions, in Sweden and elsewhere. Courses providing in-depth and broadened knowledge within specific areas of cultural heritage conservation are offered by the Department of Conservation. The programme ends with the completion of a degree project equalling 30 or 60 higher education credits.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with a major in Fine Arts or equivalent.Applicants from non-anglophone countries must provide proof of English proficiency.Application deadline for non EU students is January 15.
