The Dutch National Opera Academy is a two-year master’s program for highly talented young opera singers who want to focus on combining the disciplines of singing and acting. With a master’s degree from DNOA you are an inventive, highly committed opera singer or singer, and fully prepared for the tough challenges of the profession. DNOA’s program is aimed at making you a creative, flexible and solid artist.After your bachelor’s degree in singing, it is possible to do the master’s at DNOA. It is a two-year master’s program for opera, a partnership between the Conservatory of Amsterdam and the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. Only a limited number of talented students are admitted to this master’s programme.DNOA’s training is for the most part devoted to performances. You learn the most from that. DNOA produces two full-fledged operas a year, in collaboration with professional orchestras, such as the Residentie Orkest. You will receive individual lessons, group lessons, audition training, workshops and masterclasses. During this master’s programme, you will regularly perform on the major stages in the Netherlands, including the Royal Concertgebouw and the stage of Dutch National Opera. During this master specialization you also get the opportunity to gain stage experience in the major productions of Dutch National Opera.
