Profile
ICT Innovation EIT Digital Master School provides an international Master’s program in ICT Innovation. We combine majors in technical fields with a minor in Innovation and Enterprise. As a student of the EIT Digital Master School, not only will you acquire fundamental knowledge and skills relating to technical subjects, you also learn how to bring your innovative ideas onto the market. Embedded Systems The term ’embedded system’ refers to electronic components (that almost always contain one or more components with programmable software) of a wide range of personal and industrial devices. Some examples include transport systems, medical devices and equipment in the construction industry. Embedded systems contribute added value to products in all of these areas by expanding the range of supplied functionalities or improving the quality of a ‘traditional’ functionality that is provided to the user. Content of the EIT Master’s in Embedded SystemsWhen you have completed the program, you will have a holistic overview of the specification, design and implementation of complex embedded systems, as part of which you will take account of aspects such as limited resources, budget and development time. Aside from technical skills, the EIT program provides insights into the elements of business and developing innovations into successful business ideas. Two universities A unique feature of the ICT Innovation program is geographical mobility: you will study at 2 prestigious universities in 2 different European countries. When you register for admission to the two-year program, you select an entry point (the university where you will study the first year of the program) and an exit point (the university where you will study the second year of the program). You also travel to a kick-off event and attend summer and winter courses to meet other students, business partners and professionals. The acquisition of additional knowledge of cultural and linguistic differences also enables you to become an expert in your technical field and to succeed in becoming a manager in global markets.SpecializationsThe EIT Embedded Systems program requires mobility between six renowned European universities, which are listed below:Aalto University (Aalto), Finland,Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden,Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin), Germany, 4TU.Federation (4TU), represented by TU Eindhoven, the Netherlands, Turku Centre for Computer Science (TUCS), Finland, and University of Trento (UNITN), Italy. During the second year of your program, you have the option to specialize in one of the following areas that are offered by the exit points:embedded platforms (KTH, Stockholm)embedded multicore processing (TUB, Berlin)embedded networking (TU/e, Eindhoven)mobile cyber-physical systems (AALTO, Helsinki)internet of things and energy efficient computing (TUCS, Turku)real-time systems and design of cyber-physical systems (UNITN, Trento)critical embedded systems (BME, Budapest)
