Profile
Electrical engineers can adapt to areas that evolve very quickly (e.g. multimedia, telecommunications, biotechnology, and new energies) with innovation and responsiveness as a constantly top priority. The team projects forge essential skills: leadership, time management and conflict management. The Master’s dissertation allows electrical engineers to get to the bottom of a long and complex project and to exceed their limits. In collaboration with the Biosciences, Infortech and Numediart research institutes, this specialisation links hardware and software instrumentation, data acquisition and processing, modelling, analysis of dynamic systems and the design of optimisation and control strategies for technological systems and industrial processes. The selected fields of application are biomedical engineering and the biotechnology sector, which are particularly important in Wallonia. Topics covered include biomedical signal processing, medical imaging, medical robotics and mathematical modelling of ecological and biological systems through various tools of non-linear parametric estimation and machine learning.
