The master’s degree in Entrepreneurship & Tourism at MCI Innsbruck aims to professionalize entrepreneurship in the tourism and leisure industry. Current challenges in the tourism and leisure industry are incorporated into the course of study in order to identify and use the resulting business opportunities. An overall understanding of trends and current developments in international tourism is to be created. Digitization and ongoing changes in consumer behavior are just two of the topics that bring changes for the industry, for example.Both well-founded theoretical knowledge and practice-related expert knowledge are imparted. Independent entrepreneurial thinking and acting is the top priority throughout the course. This includes leadership, innovative ability and intercultural skills in the context of the tourism & leisure industry in order to develop an overall understanding of this dynamic industry. Together with international experts, students reflect on questions regarding the competitiveness of companies and destinations at local and international level. This guarantees interdisciplinary practical relevance so that questions can be discussed at the cutting edge.The diversity and the many points of connection of tourism to related topics are clearly shown in the two branches offered, which give students the opportunity to specialize according to their interests.The new world of increasingly socialized market cultivation for companies and destinations is taken up, among other things, in the Marketing Management & Tourism course. Current problems and new approaches in tourism marketing are analyzed here against the background of digitization, brand management and customer behavior. The focus is on imparting management and marketing expertise in the tourism sector.

Admissions Requirements
Bachelor degrees in business sciences with a focus on the tourism- and leisure industries. Graduates with a degree in economics require a minimum of 45 ECTS credits in the area of economics, and ideally, they would have a minimum of a one-year work experiences in the area tourism & leisure. Application deadline is June 26.
