This Master’s Program has a strong focus on changes and challenges that take place in Central and Eastern Europe but is also open to other issues of contemporary societies around the world. Participation in the CREOLE network makes it possible for our MA students to take part in an exchange between Institutes and Departments of Anthropology in Europe and spend up to two semesters in places, such as Maynooth, Ireland; Vienna, Austria; Lyon, France; Bern, Switzerland; Ljubljana, Slovenia; Barcelona, Spain.The Master’s Program in Anthropology, being focused on changes taking place in formerly socialist countries of Central and Eastern Europe, will be of particular interest to postgraduates with such regional interests. Our postgraduate students will learn how to independently conduct ethnographic research, critically reflect on the pending issues of our time and intervene in them through academic research and public engagement. We will give our students an opportunity to develop their research skills and extend the range of the methods at their disposal, by offering also advanced training in visual media.
