The Master’s programme in European Private Law encompasses 60 ECTS credits worth of courses, including elective courses for about one third of the programme and a thesis of 12 ECTS credits.European Private Law is an introductory course on the process of the Europeanisation of private law, including its political dimension and new developments.European Contract Law deals with the main EU rules in the area of contract law, while providing more background on the main national legal systems (i.e. French, German, English law).In the course of Comparative Law you will learn about methodologies of analysing differences and similarities between two or more legal systems.The course of EU Private International Law will focus on European rules in the field of private international law, discussing real cases, with an emphasis on the rules for contracts and torts.European Company Law I offers an introduction to company law within the EU, starting from the freedom of establishment.Please consult the Course Catalogue for a detailed description of all courses (both core courses and electives) in the Master in European Private Law.
