Profile
In software development, particularly in larger enterprises, it has long been commonplace for development teams to work together across continents and countries. On the one hand, this presents a methodological and organisational challenge; on the other hand, all team members are required to have both technical and intercultural skills. In addition to state-of-the-art technologies and frameworks in current fields of application such as parallel programming and mobile or web-based applications, the particular focus of the three-semester Master’s programme is on methods and applications in intercultural teams. During the first two semesters the courses are organised in five groups: nfrastructure, programming, technologies, methods and application (in intercultural teams). Each semester, one module in each group is provided, with the exception of methods. As methods are a primary focus, expected prior knowledge is expanded through two modules per semester. In the third semester students write their Master’s thesis and also attend a Master’s seminar and a seminar which focuses on intercultural matters.
