Profile
The omnipresence of computing quickly takes shape. Computing is everywhere nowadays: from mobile phone apps and personal trackers, to robots. This raises questions such as; when and how should computing devices adapt to individual users? Can we think of entirely new approaches to the interaction between human and machine? And as computing pervades more and more areas of our lives – while artificial intelligence enhances further and further – can we ensure that our privacy is safeguarded? Human Computer Interaction (HCI) investigates all of these questions! As a graduate of the Human Computer Interaction (HCI) Master’s, you will have a solid understanding of human and computer communication, the underlying psychological and information/computing science aspects, and innovations in human-computer interaction technologies. You will have a good overview of the main HCI methods and techniques and an in-depth understanding of how to apply these in real-world practice. In addition, you will have the skills to carry out HCI research in academic or R&D environments and you can identify how HCI can provide solutions to both societal challenges and to IT problems in industry and public sector organisations.
