These skills help to have a fast response to the market demands and produce justifiable and usable products on a competitive market.The Master’s Programme in Industrial Design Engineering is designed to provide students with knowledge of innovative design, manufacturing methods, human factors, creative problem solving, advanced materials, industrial and business challenges, and environmental considerations. Such skills are needed in different stages of product development to meet the needs of industries, support the product users, and to respond to the environmental aspects.This Master’s Programme combines knowledge and working methods from production engineering, industrial design and material development. It emphasises a combination of engineering qualifications and design skills through project courses in which the students apply their knowledge to practice. The projects are carried out in close cooperation with industries.The Master’s Programme in Industrial Design Engineering applies the principles of massive open online courses (MOOCs). It gives students the opportunity to complete nearly half of the courses in the form of distance learning. The online courses and specific internet based course exercises provide dynamic study atmosphere for students.
