The master programme in Industrial IT and Automation provides a broad knowledge in monitoring, control and optimization of all types of technical and industrial systems based on cybernetic methods and computer engineering.You will learn how to develop and apply mechanistic (physics-based) and statistical mathematical models for monitoring and control. You will learn to collect measurement data from sensors, store these in process databases, and to program algorithms for the analysis of measurement data and calculation of control signals. Key programming tools are MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW, and various object-oriented languages.The master programme in Industrial IT and Automation introduces new technologies, as IoT (Internet of Things) and Industry 4.0, and focuses on open standards. We are working closely with industry on student projects and master theses. You will learn about:Sensors and measurement systemsData analysisComputer program design and programmingSystem designAutomation systemsMathematical modeling and simulationControl algorithmsAdvanced control, including model-based predictive control (MPC)

Admissions Requirements
A bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Applicants from non-anglophone countries must provide proof of English proficiency (TOEFL 80 and IELTS 6.0).Undergraduate GPA is evaluated and typical requires at least a 2.5 average. Admission Deadline: December 1
