The Department of Informatics is one of the largest and most renowned informatics departments in Germany and our professors and teaching staff are experts in their respective fields. Students of our master’s programs receive a top-level education and can tailor their program to focus in depth on the topics that interest them most.The Master in Informatics: Games Engineering is mainly taught in English (some elective courses are taught in German, but can be substituted by English taught ones) over four semesters and is designed to equip you with advanced skills and knowledge in the general area of computer games technologies as well as your chosen favorite areas of specialization. It is a research-oriented degree that builds on the fundamentals of computer science and games engineering you have acquired during your undergraduate studies. The Department offers a wide range of modules and research areas connected to games engineering. Teaching and learning methods include lectures, practical work, seminars, and research projects. The program also incorporates a number of interdisciplinary and supplementary elective modules, such as business planning, management skills, and intercultural communication.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree with major in related field.Applicants from non-anglophone countries should provide proof of English proficiency.Application deadline for non EU students is May 31 and November 30.
