The MIP programme aims to give an interdisciplinary approach towards governance in a globalizing world. KU Leuven prides itself on its high academic rigour and reputation. MIP offers students the opportunity to study at one of Europe’s oldest and most well established universities. Leuven offers opportunities to engage in international affairs at all levels, which is both promoted and supported by the Department of Social Sciences with regular interaction with developments in and outside Brussels. The programme is taught by international experts who are passionate about their subjects and at the forefront of current research in political science and international relations. We frequently offer guest lectures by experienced professionals and international policymakers. In most courses, class discussions and questioning are encouraged, requiring you to prepare for lectures in advance. Group work and/or presentations are also part of the teaching method, which requires a significant amount of work outside of class. Throughout the year students will work on their dissertation.
