Profile
International Social Welfare and Health Policy covers four main topics: social work, child welfare, family therapy, and international social welfare and health policy. The Master’s programme will prepare you to objectively assess and evaluate social policies, compare international healthcare systems and advance your research skills. The International Social Welfare and Health Policy master’s programme from Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences is one of few in the world to combine the study of both social and welfare health policies. It explores how an increasingly globalized world requires the development of innovative social welfare and health policies while providing students with the knowledge and skills to analyse, develop and manage policies at an advanced level. The programme offers a great student environment, which aids learning and positively affects completion rates. Students graduate into relevant positions in national and international NGOs, research institutes, universities, and public and private welfare organizations.
