Profile
The MSc in IT Product Development is based at the Department of Computer Science and offered in collaboration with the Aarhus School of Architecture. The degree programme is organised by the Department of Computer Science, but the variety of the lecturers’ backgrounds means that subjects are included both from computer science and from industrial design at the Aarhus School of Architecture. During the first year of the MSc programme, a number of required courses are held in the following research priority areas: physical and spatial design (designing interactive IT products and environments); advanced web technology (programming and applying dynamic web applications and technologies); and interaction design for pervasive computing (designing, constructing and implementing software for pervasive and mobile IT units). These are followed by an innovation project.During the second year, students complete an MSc thesis that counts as 30 ECTS credits. Elective courses provide students with the opportunity to specialise in fields including technical video and sound, strategic design, and computer graphics.
