Programme overveiwLund University offers you a unique opportunity to pursue advanced studies in languages and linguistics at Master’s level. The Centre for Languages and Literature offers students access to the most modern resources for research and education. You will meet and study together with students from 15 different fields of specialisation. The languages of instruction are English and the language corresponding to the field of your specialisation. As a Master’s student, you will have the possibility of receiving funding for a stay abroad to conduct research on your Master���s thesis through grants available from the Birgit Rausing Language Programme.Specialisation in JapaneseThe specialisation in Japanese is aimed at those with a desire to pursue deeper studies in Japanese linguistics. In their second term students will follow two courses focusing partly on the reading and translation of texts on Japanese theoretical linguistics, and partly on classical Japanese. This module, together with the courses in general linguistics offered within the Master’s Programme, provides the student with a solid theoretical foundation. Students may also write their master’s thesis on a topic related to Japanese linguistics. The Japanese linguistics option will appeal to those who need a practical as well as a theoretical knowledge of the Japanese language for their current or future career.

Admissions Requirements
Applicant's need a bachelor's degree with a major in Japanese. The application deadline for non-EU students is January 15th.
