Profile
The research-oriented M.Sc. Logistics and Supply Chain Management is particularly attractive for graduates* of Bachelor’s programmes in economics who wish to focus on logistics and supply chain management in their further studies. The programme offers a wide range of specialisation areas. While the Bachelor of Science focuses mainly on the fundamentals of the field, the Master of Science builds directly on this foundation by providing students with more depth and breadth scientifically and more insight into the field. In contrast to the Bachelor degree programme the Master of Science enables and requires students to adopt their own major focus and to work towards their own independent academic, scientific research profile. In business, administration and science, highly qualified graduates are needed who ensure the coordination of the individual logistics subsystems through comprehensive systems thinking. Possible professional fields are to be found in logistics service providers as well as in industrial and commercial enterprises, management consultancies and associations. The main focus of activity can be in the areas of logistics planning, logistics controlling, supplier management, inventory management, production planning and control, model-based optimization as well as project and process management.
