Maritime Transport

The study programme aims to implement in-depth vocational studies based on the theoretical basis of the maritime transport sector, relevant to its needs and applied in practice, while ensuring the acquisition of knowledge, skills and competences identified for the European/Latvian Qualifications Framework’s (EQF/LQF) level 7.The study programme has two fields of specialisation:– Maritime Transport Management Engineering;– Operation of Maritime Transport.Studies are organised in the form of lectures, seminars, project works and discussion groups.Graduates of the study programme acquire in-depth knowledge , skills and competences for comprehensive and effective action in the selected field of management or operation in the maritime transport sector as managers of companies/organisations/institutions and their departments, key and leading technical specialists, educators, researchers, etc., as well as for further studies aimed at higher level qualifications.
