Profile
This specialist certificate in medical education is designed by oncologists, for oncologists. It will help you analyse everyday teaching and learning opportunities, and will enhance your knowledge and skills.
Medical education is at the core of healthcare provision the world over. Ensuring the future workforce is prepared to meet the challenges of modern healthcare means we need experts in medical education to help shape practice.
At the Centre for Medical Education, founded over 40 years ago by Professor Ronald Harden OBE, we enable medical educators to reach their goals, and ensure they’re prepared to train the workforce of the future.
Our wide-ranging curriculum fits around you and your working life, whether you’re new to teaching and training, or wish to advance existing skills and knowledge.
You’ll start with two core modules which will give you a strong overview of the core concepts of medical education.
You’ll then complete a specialist module that will help you critically evaluate teaching within an oncology setting while developing, delivering and reflecting on your own teaching and assessment of students.
Following this certificate, you could progress on to our PGDip or Masters courses to further your learning.
