The postgraduate Master’s program Master of Public Administration in European Studies (MPA-ES) focuses on current and future socially relevant and technology-oriented topics and combines European competence with technical know-how. The degree program specifically addresses the changing requirements and needs of corporate practice and the public sector, which are created, in particular, by digital transformation. European policy education is linked with technology trends and policy areas at EU level in order to develop solutions for European and global issues.The degree program features an application- and action-oriented approach based on practical everyday work in the public or private sector. You have to choose between two specializations – energy and climate or digital transformation. In the specialization courses, a basic understanding of technology and engineering is put in the context of EU political guidelines and regulatory mechanisms.European Studies MPA-ES is an English taught degree program offered by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and allows you to organize your studies in a flexible way thanks to block courses and web seminars. The interdisciplinary nature of the course is accentuated by the involvement of the various different RWTH faculties. In addition, soft skill modules and a compulsory internship offer you many opportunities to strengthen not only your holistic thinking, but also your networking skills. RWTH lecturers as well as various external lecturers from industry will teach the degree program. MPA-ES is aimed at students with a first university degree and at least one year of professional experience.
