The major in Safety Management and Engineering leads to the degree of Master of Science in Technology and is aimed at students who hold a BSc degree in engineering or technology. Students who major in Safety Management and Engineering develop expertise in the management of safety, health and environmental risks as well as enterprise risk management related to production, products and services and in the use of tools that are typical of safety and risk management and engineering.The studies consist of joint programme studies in Security and Safety Management, intermediate studies in Safety Management and Engineering, and elective studies in a chosen area (students pursuing a master’s degree in technology are also required to complete an additional study module). Students may freely select their additional module (minor) to direct their expertise towards a desired career path or a field of interest.

Admissions Requirements
A bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Applicants from non-anglophone countries must provide proof of English proficiency (TOEFL 92 and IELTS 6.5).
