The MA, supported by globally recognised artists, curators, critics and intellectuals, combines a sound training in the artistic production with highly specialized curatorial practice. Given the solid positioning of the Visual Arts Area within the contemporary art system, students face interdisciplinary activities to produce new exhibition models, questioned by an aesthetic, social, economic and philosophical point of view.The Master of Arts deepens the student’s knowledge with highly specialized and advanced studies, allowing the student to define his skills and making possible a first-hand experience within the professional context through field experiences.FIRST YEARIt introduces to the fmain issues of the MA, through in-depth focuses on the phenomenology of contemporary arts, visual arts and photography, exhibition design and curatorial studies, in a constant comparison with the new creative methods, new media and different cultural contexts on a global scale. SECOND YEARThe advanced studies in history of contemporary art, curating, exhibition design consolidate the students’ acquired knowledge of the production of exhibition models, of a critical understanding of space, of narrative paths, audience and institutional structures that influence the contemporary creation.
