Talli van Sunder –
This was well worth the investment! Kristin from Beyond the States was very helpful and my son got into all the Universities he applied to!
Eliana Badano –
I’m very grateful for all the help from the Platinum program and Kristin. I was very overwhelmed when I first began looking into universities abroad but once I joined the Guaranteed Admissions, I was able to search through all accredited programs and find those that I was most interested in much easier. Kristin was really helpful with the process and provided valuable and detailed insights. Thank you so much to Beyond The States and Kristin!!
Christina Shin –
We are so glad we signed up for the Guaranteed Admissions program. We were already lifetime members from a few years back and have been looking through the database, reading through the Facebook group posts, and taking the online courses. However, it was all still very overwhelming. We decided to get some extra help through the Guaranteed Admissions program. It was worth every penny and Kristin was so helpful. She took the time to really get to know my son. Throughout the whole process you can tell she really cared and went above and beyond with his Best Fit list. The detailed information she provided was more than I expected. We learned a lot along the way and my son got into his top choice early! Kristin also helped with his motivational letter which was a great resource since motivational letters in Europe are a little different than college essays in the US. Kristin is a wealth of knowledge and she answered questions we had as well as gave us many tips. We are grateful and can’t recommend this program enough. I will admit I was a little hesitant at first (I thought we could do it on our own using the resources provided on the website) but we are so glad we took the leap and reached out for extra help.
Eric Manning –
This is an amazing resource and I can’t believe it exists. The process of finding and applying to international university programs is incredibly daunting when you have no idea what you’re doing (like me), so I was very relieved when my friend told me about Beyond the States. Kristin is an expert at the process and tells you everything you need to know, tailored specifically to your personal wants/needs. I met with Kristin several times – the first couple meetings were geared towards finding programs that met my requirements (e.g. area of study, location, cost, etc.). I had a pretty tight budget, but Kristin was still able to find several programs that were perfect for me. She has deep knowledge of application and admission processes and has experience with the often obscure requirements unique to each country. On top of being a wealth of knowledge, Kristin is a joy to work with. She’s always responsive and acts as a resource throughout the whole undertaking. Without Beyond the States, I may have never discovered the programs I applied to, and the process would have been a lot more stressful and full of unknowns. Thanks Kristin and the team!!
Noa –
Our son just received an acceptance note from his first choice college in Europe – he couldn’t be happier! Kristin was fantastic, we would not be where we are now without her. Her wealth of knowledge, her very clear communication, her swift follow ups, her attention to detail, the depth of her research, her helpfulness are so much more than we expected. Through interacting with Kristin it became very clear that not only her head but also her heart is in it, she truly cared and strived to find the best possible solution for our kid. She found the perfect option for our family – one that we had missed entirely in our own research.
With Kristin’s help Noa went from being overwhelmed and not willing to engage in the process of finding a college program to being motivated and excited about the possibilities. The whole process is very well thought out. We especially liked the personal interaction when discussing the best fit list, the helpful videos for writing a CV and motivation letter and the personal feedback Noa received for his motivation letter draft. Through all of that Noa felt confident when he applied for the program of his choice. I also appreciated how Kristin kept us on track with the actual application process with just the right amount of firmness to keep it moving forward. And she didn’t stop after we shared the happy news about our son’s acceptance, she followed up one more time with a helpful note about legalization procedures. Thank you for your fabulous service Kristin! We are elated with the outcome and so glad that we successfully avoided the craziness of the US college scenario.
Sami –
I just received my acceptance at AAU and I’m very excited! The Masterclass helped me with creating my resume and my personal statement. It also connected me with other students who are planning on attending universities in Europe specifically AAU at the same time as me. Overall, it was extremely helpful and fun!
Kelly Thompson –
I cannot thank you enough for what you have done for our daughter. When she told me she wanted to go to Europe for school, I thought there was no way. I started doing research and found you and BTS. From there we signed her up for master classes, scoured the data base and found the greatest community of parents in various stages of education in the EU. We could not have done this without BTS!
Aidan Diehl –
As I am still in 9th grade I have not apply to any of the colleges on the end list but I do with for an honest intent plan to. In fact I am learning Russian for four years because it is one of the most spoken languages in Estonia. Since that master class I i’m now confident and capable of looking deeper into international relations and security studies whereas before the master class I didn’t even know what topic I wanted to study. The class has helped me tremendously and I have already urged my friends to take it. Thank you!!
Shelly Michigan –
Beyond the States has been an invaluable resource for our family in researching colleges in Europe. Prior to joining, we had no idea that there were degrees taught entirely in English in non-English-speaking countries! And the prices in Europe are so much more reasonable than in the U.S. Our kids have always been interested in studying overseas and becoming global citizens, and Beyond the States has shown us that they can do this with an entire degree, rather than just a semester. Jennifer and Tom have been invaluable resources for us, always answering every question promptly and thoroughly. They take a genuine interest in our children’s personal college interests. We love the informative online webinars, blog, and Facebook page. And the database has been a fantastic tool for us to initiate college research. Our family is particularly excited about college in Europe because my husband is from France. So the pursuit of a college degree in Europe will allow the kids to both visit family while there, as well as to explore and strengthen that side of their heritage. And we believe that an international college diploma will give them a great advantage when seeking a career. We’re also really looking forward to exploring the master’s degree options in Europe through Beyond the States. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for us!
Laura H Miezejeski –
As a parent who already has a daughter studying in Europe, I thought I would have no problem guiding my son thru the process. But even after scouring the data base on Beyond the States and visiting numerous schools, my son was slightly overwhelmed and non committal about his choices. Signing up for the Masterclass allowed my son to take control of the process of finding the right program and university. With Jenn’s guidance, he went thru a methodical and logical step by step process of narrowing down his choices. He began to have a clearer focus of what he wanted to study and the ideal location and program for those studies. He became more confident in his choices rather than relying on the advice of well meaning but ill informed counselors at school. In fact his 1st and 2nd choices before starting the Masterclass, did not even make the list after taking the class. He now has a short list, along with a back up school, of programs to apply to and to be excited about. I highly recommend this program to any student wanting to apply to European schools but unsure of where to start. Jenn breaks down the process over a 6 week period and gives the students the tools to effectively sift thru the thousands of programs to come up with a short list of choices they can feel confident about.
