Computer Engineering with Network Infrastructure
Profile
A comprehensive understanding of the deployment and management of network and cloud infrastructure is a key requirement for many organizations. There is significant growth in demand for graduates with the appropriate skills in these areas, with recent reports referring to the shift to Cloud as “Climate Change” for IT. In addition, various industry reports identify a shortage of network professionals with relevant Network, Cloud, and Software skills. This honors degree includes modules that will assist students in taking additional assessments to gain VMware vSphere qualifications. This program will provide the student with skills in the design and testing of medium-sized scripting applications. The program will also cover data modeling and database design; students will also assess data storage and retrieval for large data sets required for Big Data. The student will also cover network management and enhanced network topics such as SDN. Augmented User Interaction, or AR, looks at the emergence of interaction networks across a number of domains through completing a project. Students will also research, implement, document, and present a final-year project in a related area.

Notes
The EU student contribution applies annually to all free fee eligible students and the current rate is €3,000 per annum.To avail of the funding EU students must meet the criteria of the free fees schemes, as determined by the university a student is attending. Application deadline for EU students is February 1.
